THE BRISBANE Lions will still consider trading this year's No.1 draft pick if offered the right deal.

After the Lions claimed the wooden spoon with their round 23 loss to North Melbourne,

CEO Greg Swann said "nothing [was] off the table" with regards to the No.1 pick.

Explosive forward Cameron Rayner and midfielders Luke Davies-Uniacke, Paddy Dow and Adam Cerra are all outstanding prospects in contention to go at No.1 this year.

But Swann told SEN radio on Tuesday morning the Lions remained prepared to slide down the draft order if a club put together a suitably tempting trade.

Free agent Rockliff ready to leave

"Last year we had pick No.2 and went to pick No.3 and got another draft pick in the first round (No.16)," Swann said of the Suns' 2016 trade with Greater Western Sydney.

"For us, it's never say never. It would have to be something exceptional for us to move and nobody has come to us. We are very happy to keep pick one, but if a really good deal came along you'd have to look at it."

Swann said the Lions remained interested in contracted Adelaide forward Charlie Cameron, but had yet to hear whether the speedster would request a trade to be closer to family in Queensland.

"If Charlie decides that he's coming, we'll try and get him," Swann said.

"What that looks like is Adelaide's call because he's a contracted player, so they hold the aces."

The Lions CEO was confident speculation contracted players Josh Schache and Stefan Martin would request moves when the trade period opens next Monday was off the mark.

"I don't think anybody had come to us with a deal for Josh. At this stage, we don't think there is anything to worry about there. He signed in the middle of the year, got back in, fell off a little bit later in the piece, but it was a pretty big year for him," Swann said.

"Stef Martin's always staying. That was just an inquiry (from a rival club)."

Swann expected Lions vice-captain Tom Rockliff would inform the club of his post-2017 plans later in the week. The restricted free agent has recently met with Carlton and Port Adelaide and is expected to lodge an official offer with the League soon after the free agency period opens on Friday.
