RICHMOND could be without premiership player Josh Caddy for next week's clash against Hawthorn after he was offered a one-match ban for striking David Mackay.

His teammate Toby Nankervis can accept a $1500 fine for misconduct against Adelaide midfielder Matt Crouch, while Crows youngster Darcy Fogarty can accept the same sanction, for misconduct against Caddy.

Meanwhile, a staging incident on Tigers defender Alex Rance was assessed but match review officer Michael Christian found the star backman did not "excessively exaggerate the contact, to satisfy the Tribunal guidelines around what constitutes staging".

Caddy struck Mackay with a swinging left arm in the third term. The incident, which left the Crow concussed and ruled him out of the rest of the game, was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to the head.

Nankervis was cited for an incident that saw him put his left knee into Matt Crouch's back, right after the onballer dished off a handball to Sam Jacobs.

Meanwhile, Fogarty was looked at for a swinging arm that struck Caddy's back after the Tiger took a mark in the second quarter.
The Rance incident came about two minutes into the match. His opponent Josh Jenkins had just taken a mark and Adelaide captain Taylor Walker pushed Rance in the back with the four-time All Australian falling to ground.

Rance stood up straight away.

The final incident assessed was between Walker and Richmond's Shane Edwards, in the third term. Both went after a loose ball and Edwards turned his body to brace for contact. Edwards won the football but in the process, his hip hit Walker's head.

Christian found Edwards didn't have a "realistic alternative way to contest the ball".
