COLLINGWOOD leadership group member Taylor Adams says he "knows for a fact" that teammate Darcy Moore wants to be part of the football club.

Moore's agent Liam Pickering fuelled speculation this week that the son of Magpies great Peter was attracting significant interesting from a number of clubs, including Sydney.

The 22-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and despite having an offer on the table from the Pies since the beginning of the year, is yet to commit.

"If … Darcy wants to move on then we'll deal with it then, but at this stage I know for a fact he wants to be part of our footy club," Adams said on RSN.

"We know how good he's going to be, how much talent he's got, and how much he can offer our footy club," he said.

Collingwood president Eddie McGuire has joked the young star was worth "15 first-round draft picks", and effectively the Pies hold most of the cards, because in just his fourth season Moore is a long way off free agency.

Adams says he's not worried about losing Moore but concedes player movement is part of modern footy.

"If they don't want to be on the team, then we'll find someone to replace them," he said.

"If it got to the end of the season, and there was speculation and Darcy hadn't signed, then I'd start to think we might lose one of our good players."

Moore, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury, has only played four games this season.

He's kicked 61 goals in 51 AFL games.

The Pies have been linked to out-of-contract Gold Coast Suns co-captain Tom Lynch.

The forward, who is a free agent, has given no indication he'll make a decision on his future before the end of the season.
