ESSENDON has re-signed midfielder Dylan Clarke to a one-year contract extension.

The new deal will see the 19-year-old tied to the Bombers until the end of next year.

Clarke, whose older brother Ryan plays for North Melbourne, made his senior debut two weeks ago in Essendon's win over Geelong.

He collected nine disposals but was omitted the following week.

Clarke had earned the senior chance after a string of impressive performances at VFL level.

He joins Kobe Mutch, Jordan Ridley and Josh Begley, all of whom were also drafted in 2016, as recently recommitting to the Bombers.
