GREATER Western Sydney's injury worries have returned with another two Giants going down against Gold Coast on Saturday night.

Rory Lobb (ribs/back) and Daniel Lloyd (knee) both hobbled from the field in the second term at Spotless Stadium and played no further part in the home side's record 108-point win.

Lobb left the arena in an ambulance just after half-time as a precaution to get looked over, and coach Leon Cameron said after the match that the big man copped several hits against the Suns.

"It wasn't great, he clearly copped one in the back and the ribs, and he was in a fair bit of discomfort," he said.

"Towards the end of half-time it really hit him.

"He had a couple of big knocks earlier but the one just before half-time really hurt him.

"There's no doubt the boys are concerned about him, but we'll cross our fingers and find out how bad it is, or if he's escaped a serious injury."

WATCH A minute of carnage for the Giants

Lloyd had kicked a goal and was lively across half-forward until his left knee buckled in a contest.

Cameron confirmed the forward had injured his medial ligament.

"He's going to miss weeks - it's whether or not it's two or three, or it's four to five," he said.

"We'll wait to determine that over the next 48 hours.

"It's disappointing because I thought he set the standard last week in the Adelaide game with his tackles."

Gun midfielder Dylan Shiel (ankle) and defender Lachie Whitfield (knee) were also hampered against the Suns but managed to play out the match.

Thankfully for GWS, it has its mid-season bye next week, before it meets Brisbane at the Gabba in round 14.
