A COLLINGWOOD premiership may not be likely, but there is a blueprint for the Magpies to continue their red-hot form and power into premiership contention.

"If the last two seasons have taught us anything, it's that you can't write off any team who can play at that standard," podcaster Nick Bowen says in this week's AFL Exchange.

Demons young gun Angus Brayshaw joins Bowen and Callum Twomey to discuss all the big issues out of round 12, including whether the Giants are still in the premiership hunt, and Brayshaw's sympathy for the struggling Suns.

Looking back on his early time at the Demons, Brayshaw said a losing environment can be "a terrible place to be" and that finding an escape is paramount.

"There has to be something to get you out of the rut," he said.
