PORT Adelaide superstar Robbie Gray has accepted a $1000 fine offered by Match Review Officer Michael Christian for making careless contact with an umpire.

Gray accepted the sanction for making contact with umpire Brett Rosebury.

The incident happened during the third quarter of the round 13 match at Adelaide Oval on Thursday.

Making careless contact with an umpire is a fixed financial sanction of $1500 but Gray accepted a $1000 penalty with an early plea.
