WEEK two of the finals is done and dusted, leaving many coaches licking their wounds while the winners are eyeing preliminary final success.

Fantasy Pig

Jack Riewoldt: It was only a couple of years ago that cousin Nick smashed out 200 points in a Fantasy Grand Final, and Jack certainly looked after his eight per cent of coaches with a massive game against the Suns, kicking 10 goals and scoring 192. It was a gift from the Fantasy Gods for Draft coaches who would have found it hard to lose after Jack surpassed his season high by a whopping 56 points.

Honourable mention: We spoke all week about Gary Ablett’s uncanny knack of pumping out huge numbers against the Hawks and amazingly he kept the streak alive in the weekend’s blockbuster. He amassed 32 possessions, five marks, eight tackles and three goals for 152 and with a mouth-watering fixture to end the season he will once again prove to be a popular trade target this week.

FROM THE TWOS Who put their hand up in the second tier?

Rage trades

Max Gawn had a great match-up with the Swans, and unfortunately didn’t deliver despite the fact fellow big man Brodie Grundy scored an impressive 150 against them last week. Maybe there was some truth to the calf injury that kept him off the training track this week as his work around the ground was not what we have come to expect with just seven touches, two marks and a tackle.

Honourable mention: Josh Kelly’s knockout was a cruel blow to his coaches, with the star cruising towards another triple-figure score in the third quarter. To that point he had 17 touches, four tackles and a goal and he may unfortunately need to be traded with suggestions the concussion was bad enough to cost him at least one week. Hopefully he is good to go, but he will need to be closely monitored with contingency plans in place.

THINGS WE LEARNED The Crows face a brutal post-season review

Piglet

Lewis Pierce hasn’t played at the top level for a long time, hence his basement starting price, but the Saint ruck certainly put his best foot forward to earn the No.1 mantle next year. He shared the ruck duties and had 27 hit-outs to go with 18 touches, five marks and two tackles for a very solid score of 85.

It is certainly an option … there are five defenders clearly better than him. If you don’t have Brayshaw, Whitfield, Yeo, Laird or Lloyd you would do it, but I am not sure you will gain enough from anybody else.

Not in my pay bracket mate. I don’t bother thinking about it and let the big ‘Dawgs’ make the big calls about the game.

Devon hands down, mate. As per the Rolling 22.

He should be good this week, may cop a hard tag against the Eagles which could be a worry.

You don’t.

You will need to listen to the podcast or watch my trade video on Tuesday, mate. That’s where I drop the Rolling 22.

Any time, legend.

I would still back Phillips.
