LIVEWIRE West Coast forward Liam Ryan and big man Nathan Vardy have been cleared of injury concerns ahead of Sunday's finals-shaping encounter with Melbourne.

Ruckman Scott Lycett has also pulled up fine after a friendly-fire head clash with Dom Sheed during the Eagles' pivotal after-the-siren win against Port Adelaide.

Ryan suffered a corked thigh during the second term, but returned to take a Mark of the Year contender in the final quarter, and looked dangerous despite finishing with 1.2.

Vardy also played out the game after battling a sore left knee during the second half.

All three trained at Subiaco Oval on Tuesday, showing no signs of lingering problems, and they should be available for the Demons clash.

"They all had significant knocks in-game to different parts of each of their bodies but they've all pulled up pretty well," West Coast's general manager of football Craig Vozzo said.

"They are getting through the week slowly and we are expecting them to fully train and be available on Sunday."

The Eagles are in the box seat to claim second spot and two home finals after a thrilling comeback against the Power.

West Coast only needs one more win against the Demons at home or Brisbane at the Gabba in round 23 to secure the ideal launching pad for a premiership assault.

Melbourne would almost certainly lock away a return to September action for the first time since 2006 with an upset in Perth.

The Demons broke through against the Eagles last year for their first win in the west from the past 18 trips in a three-point nail-biter.

Simon Goodwin's outfit will have to face West Coast without star forward Jesse Hogan (foot), who is out for the season, but the Eagles will again be missing dual Coleman medallist Josh Kennedy.

Kennedy has already been ruled out for a fourth consecutive game due to a hairline fracture in his shin, and appears doubtful to be back before finals.

"'JK' has probably got another week on the sidelines at least, but he had a full on-ground session on Monday, so we are making progress and we will just be guided by how his body recovers from each of those sessions," Vozzo said.

In better news, Will Schofield (hamstring) is expected to be available next round after joining in some of the main group's training session on Tuesday before breaking off to run laps.
