PORT Adelaide's aggressive trading was meant to fuel a premiership charge, but fans say their prize recruits have failed to deliver.

Giving their season verdict in an AFL.com.au survey, 47 per cent of Power supporters said Melbourne recruit Jack Watts was their side's biggest flop, while eight per cent opted for ex-Brisbane ball-winner Tom Rockliff.

Watts played 19 games in his first season for his new club, missing rounds 13 to 15 through poor form. He averaged 14 disposals and 4.5 marks a game and kicked 18 goals.

A promising season for the Power collapsed in a heap as they lost six of their last seven games to miss the top eight, including consecutive last-gasp losses to Adelaide and West Coast.

In the wake of the disappointing finish just 41 per cent of Port fans are backing coach Ken Hinkley, who has been at the helm at Alberton for seven seasons.

Here are the full survey results and a selection of Port fans' views on their side's 2018.
