Wantaway Greater Western Sydney tall Lobb officially requested a trade to the Dockers earlier this week, while contracted Demon Hogan has yet to decide on where he wants to play his football in 2019.

Dockers general manager of football Peter Bell was thrilled to acquire more draft picks.

"We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Port Adelaide, which will see us retain a first-round pick plus secure two second-round selections and a third-round selection," Bell said.

"The exchange of selections will provide either more currency in this Trade Period or, alternatively, be a very attractive proposition for this year’s national draft."

The Dockers now have picks No.11, 23, 30, 49 and 81.

Port Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps said the deal was important to get another top pick.

"Our objective was to improve our position in this draft, in particular the top end as we believe it to be the strongest group seen for many years," he said.

"The picks that we used to assist in improving our position will be diluted with the number of Father/Son, NGA and Northern Academy players that are expected to be selected by the clubs that they are aligned to.

"A lot of planning, discussion and strategy goes into how we approach each trade period to ultimately achieve our objectives and secure talented players that improve our list.

"This trade gives us another top 10 pick, the highest since we selected Ollie Wines in the 2012 draft, allowing us to bring in two high quality players.

"We also have an eye to the future and receiving a future third round pick gives us further flexibility for potential deals both this year, and into the future."

The Power now have picks No.6, No.10, No.48, and No.85.
