Beams shock, deal delay, rules changed Footy Feed with Matt Thompson and Mitch Cleary

NEGOTIATIONS for Dan Hannebery's trade to St Kilda have been held up – at least slightly – as Sydney focuses its attention on a bid for Collingwood's Tom Langdon.

Langdon who is travelling in Africa, was yet to inform either club of his intentions, but a decision is believed to be imminent.

It could impact on what the Swans need from the Saints to get the Hannebery deal over the line.

Critical to any trade maneuver Sydney makes is ensuring it has enough draft points to secure highly rated academy prospect Nick Blakey.

The Swans currently have picks 26, 28, 34, 38, 40, 70 and 88 in this year's NAB AFL Draft, but importantly they have all of next year's picks at their disposal.

Hannebery remains contracted for the next three seasons at the Swans, but a move to Moorabbin is considered almost a formality.

Langdon – who played a central role in Collingwood's finals campaign – hadn't been offered a new deal by the Magpies until very recently.

The 24-year-old defender has played 80 games for Collingwood, including 23 this season, since making his debut for the Pies in 2014.
