Rounding out the top five were Ethan Hughes and Ed Langdon.

Not far behind them was key defender Alex Pearce, who edged out captain Nat Fyfe.

"I was a little bit disappointed with my time when I came back from the off-season, so it was nice to be able to come back," Pearce told fremantlefc.com.au.

"It was a PB for me over 2km, so I was very happy.

"It was nice and hot to welcome us back and I think everyone had a pretty good time and ran well."

Giro played 10 games in his debut season, lining up mainly through the midfield, after being drafted as a rookie in 2017.
