Back in action: When your club returns to training

REIGNING premier West Coast was among four clubs that trained for the first time in 2019 on Monday.

Sydney, Fremantle and Brisbane were the other clubs to hit the track.

Grand Finalist Collingwood is set to return on Wednesday, as will the team it beat in its semi-final, Greater Western Sydney.

Adelaide, Essendon, Geelong, Gold Coast and Port Adelaide are all back on Thursday.

Due to restart on Friday are Carlton and the Western Bulldogs.

The remaining five teams – Richmond, Melbourne, Hawthorn, North Melbourne and St Kilda – reconvene next Monday.

Players are due three weeks' break over Christmas and clubs are not allowed to call them back before January 4 in any year.
