THE CAVALRY is coming for Greater Western Sydney.

After dismissing Gold Coast by 72 points to wrap up a home elimination final, Giants coach Leon Cameron warned the rest of the competition some big guns were on the way back.

Cameron said Toby Greene (calf), Stephen Coniglio (knee), Jacob Hopper (hamstring), Brett Deledio (calf) and Nick Haynes (larynx) could all be available in two weeks.

It's a similar scenario to one the club faced in 2018 when Greene, Deledio, Zac Williams and Matt de Boer all returned from lengthy layoffs to help the Giants rout Sydney by 49 points in an elimination final.

"We ran the gauntlet last year in the first week of finals," Cameron said.

"Hopper's ready to roll.

"We've just got to discuss whether he plays (NEAFL) next week.

"Greene will be ready to roll.

"Deledio's really tracking nicely and we'll see where Nick Haynes is at.

"Stephen Coniglio is progressing hard as well."

Cameron said the Giants had some tough decisions to make on just how many of the injured brigade it could include.

"We know it's probably impossible to play all five of those guys because I thought some performances from our young fellas tonight were terrific.

"No doubt, out of those names, two or three of those guys, or four guys are going to be putting up their hand.

"We've just got to make sure we make that right call like we did last year."

One player to get some good game-time against the Suns was Josh Kelly, who defied a bout of game-day gastro to play his first game in five weeks and collect 27 disposals and kick two classy goals.

Williams and Lachie Whitfield also spent valuable time in the middle of the ground.

Despite the easy nature of the victory, Cameron said he was pleased with the performance after beltings from Hawthorn and the Western Bulldogs in the past fortnight.

"I know the scoreboard blew out, but for three quarters they hit us as hard as they possibly could, and we hit them as hard as we possibly could.

"It's good to get a confidence boosting win, but equally it means nothing now.

As we all know, the new season's on.

"I reckon it's a fantastic rehearsal for whatever comes in a couple of weeks."
