PREMIERSHIP heroes Shane Edwards and Marlion Pickett have signed on the dotted line with Richmond.

Edwards has extended for two more years, while Pickett's deal is for 2020 only.

After a second-paced finished in the Jack Dyer Medal, Richmond's general manager of football Neil Balme announced that Edwards' deal had been 'done for a while', but wasn't officially announced until Thursday.

Pickett's arrival from South Fremantle as a 27-year-old in the NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft was remarkable enough, but nothing compared to the chapter he wrote in his story as he made his debut in the AFL Grand Final after a best-on-ground performance for the Tigers in the VFL Grand Final just six days earlier.

With Norm Smith medal votes on debut and a blind turn that had Tiger fans spinning, Pickett's signing has left Richmond's list manager Blair Hartley 'proud'.

"Shane has been with us on a long journey, and he continues to step up in both a performance and leadership capacity when we need him.

"Marlion's hard work and dedication has led him to Richmond, and we’re so proud of him for grabbing his opportunity with both hands.
