FORMER Magpie Josh Smith has been cut by West Coast ahead of Thursday's first list lodgment deadline.

The 25-year-old played two games for the Eagles this season after being picked up in last year's NAB AFL Rookie Draft, following 32 games at Collingwood.

But he has been delisted by the Eagles having not been able to cement his place at senior level.

"There has been no more dedicated player on the track than Josh. He worked hard for his opportunities this season and also displayed great commitment and leadership with our younger players and at the WAFL Eagles level," said West Coast football manager Craig Vozzo.

Fremantle has also made further changes to its list, axing forward Hugh Dixon and midfielder Tom North.

The pair have been moved from the Dockers' primary list but will selected as rookies at November's draft. Both are contracted for next season.
