BACK by popular demand, the 2010 Toyota Good for Footy Tour is returning to visit regional Victoria (VIC) and Southern New South Wales (NSW) this September.

Packed with AFL superstars Matthew Richardson, Mark Ricciuto, Danny Frawley, Dustin Fletcher, Chris Newman, Mark McVeigh and Toyota Ambassadors Jonathan Brown and Brian Taylor, the bus will travel to 13 regional locations to host footy clinics for young fans from Monday, 6 September.

The AFL champions will put the junior footy fans to the test with fun-filled coaching sessions and skills clinics to teach them the essentials of the game.

The Toyota Good for Footy Bus Tour is an extension of the Toyota Good for Footy program, an initiative that sees over 148 footy clubs across Victoria, Tasmania and Southern New South Wales benefit from funding by their local Toyota dealership.

Toyota Good for Footy ambassador Jonathan Brown says the tour helps inspire the development and ambitions of young footballers in regional communities.

“As a Toyota Good for Footy ambassador for four years now, I am passionate about supporting grassroots footy and I can’t wait to join the tour this year and see how much our young footballers have to offer.  Who knows, we may just uncover the next AFL superstar!” says Brown.

Adding to excitement of the Tour and the approaching Grand Final, young footy fans will also have the opportunity to view the official replica Toyota AFL Grand Final Premiership Cup.

Justin Hood, Toyota’s Regional Marketing Manager, says the Toyota Good for Footy Tour offers regional children a unique opportunity to meet and play with some of Australia’s best AFL footballers.

“With the Tour now in its third year, I am very proud of the important role it continues to play for grassroots footy clubs.  For many of these junior fans, it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet their AFL heroes,” says Hood.

Since 2005, Toyota’s Victorian, Tasmanian and Southern New South Wales Dealers have donated more than $1.4 million to the Toyota Good for Footy Program and plan to reach a target of $2 million by the end of 2011.
