BRISBANE Lions midfielder Jed Adcock may have played his last game for the season after being ruled out of the club's final round clash with the Swans at the SCG on Saturday night.

Adcock played an encouraging half of football in the reserves last weekend after six weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury but he did not pull up well after the game.

Voss said Adcock would be rested from the reserves this weekend, which would most likely rule him out of the Lions' first final as well.

“He hasn’t come out of the game as we would have liked last week so he won’t come into the team,” Voss said.

“We’ve just got to make sure that we get some more fitness into him.”

Ruckman Matthew Leuenberger is in better shape and is not far away from a recall.

Leuenberger played in the reserves last weekend on the wing, and will play in the ruck this week pushing for a spot in the first week of the finals.

Voss will bring Lachlan Henderson in to replace Daniel Bradshaw at full-forward.

Henderson has been in top form in the reserves for several weeks, booting six goals last weekend, but he’s expected to play in a number of positions.

“Part of Lachlan is being able to play in a variety of different positions so even on the weekend we want him to spend time forward, we want him to spend time back,” Voss said.

“The trick is going to be that our other forwards have got to be able to join in the party and get a few goals.”

Voss doesn’t see the Swans game as like a final, even though a win guarantees the Lions a home final at the Gabba next weekend.

“We haven’t finished the job,” Voss said.

“We finish with a really big task and we play a very good team who operate exceptionally well.”

“We played them in round three and we worked well as a team and that’s what got us the victory so hopefully we can do the same.”

Voss says the Swans have a special culture and team ethos he wants the Lions to emulate.

He says that with the emotion of Sydney farewelling Michael O’Loughlin, Jared Crouch and Leo Barry, the Swans will actually start favourites.
