Australian Football League
In 2007 the AFL introduced the AFL Goal Post subsidy scheme in conjunction with State/Territory football bodies to further develop the process to financially assist football friendly schools to purchase permanent Australian Football goal posts. Goal posts provide a visible presence of our game at a school level and help to grow our games community capacity.
The aim is to provide a grant of at least $1,000 per school for the purchase of permanent posts. Schools must meet set criteria and that the provision of the posts will lead to potential growth in participation and increased access by the local football community.
These grants are managed by each State in consultation with regional development staff and the respective schools. Congratulations to the following 47 schools who have received funding for 2009.
