In his own words
What type of player are you?

A hard-working, versatile and mobile tall who is a leader to his teammates with his actions. My marking ability is one of my main strengths and I aim to get to as many contests as I can in each game I play.

Which AFL player do you feel you resemble and why?
Justin Koschitzke as he has very strong hands in the air as well as clean hands at ground level. He attacks the ball ferociously and impacts as many contests as he can. He plays full-forward and ruck, which I do for my club and state.

What are your strengths as a footballer?
Marking: I read the ball well in the air and have pretty good hands
Ball use: This is an area I have improved this year. My kicking is generally good and I am clean with my hands
Versatility: I play a variety of positions (back, forward, ruck, wing) and always play to team plans

What parts of your game would you like to improve?
Cleanness below knees: An area I have improved in 2009 but there is still room for more
Work rate: Especially forward, I think I could be making more leads than I usually tend to
Body strength: It was reasonable at under-18 level but I feel I need to become stronger as I play a lot of my footy against men

Which AFL team do you support and how did you come to barrack for them?
Carlton. I was brought up in a family that barracked for them but I enjoy watching them play. They are a team that takes high risks and plays an exciting brand of football.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career so far and why?
Dad: He has helped me analyse my performance in every game I play and also spent a lot of time developing my game as a junior. He was my junior coach for five years
Cameron Blight: My senior coach for two years at Kingborough who gave me the chance to play senior football at 15 and gave me many challenges to learn from
Matthew Armstrong: He has helped me improve my skills this season by having touch sessions most weeks since January.
