THE AFL and Victoria Police will take no further action against the two St Kilda players linked to a teenage schoolgirl who is reported to be pregnant.

The League spent Wednesday investigating the matter - raised with the Department of Education - and determined no unlawful activity had occurred between the two parties.

It was alleged that the two players had made an official appearance at the girl's school, however League general manager of football operations Adrian Anderson said the girl met the players for the first time after a round-one AFL match some weeks later.

The mobile phone records of the two players involved indicated there was no contact before the round-one match.

The AFL has spoken to the girl, her family, Victoria Police, the Department of Education, the two St Kilda players and other witnesses.

"Mr Anderson said Victoria Police had interviewed the student, provided a report and determined they would take no action, as no unlawful activity had occurred," a statement read.

"Mr Anderson said that all available evidence indicates that the players had no contact with the young woman at an AFL player appearance at the student's school, but met for the first time some weeks later after an AFL match following round one of the 2010 season.

"The St Kilda players have agreed to provide their telephone records to the AFL. The records provided so far corroborate this fact."

Anderson said it was a private issue between the parties.

St Kilda released a statement saying the names of the two players will not be released as it considers the issue to be a private matter and confirmed the club would take no further action.
