Approximately 7000 fans gathered into Glenferrie Oval last Sunday to spend time with the Hawks in fine and sunny conditions.

There was fun to be had by all at the snake and reptile exhibit, HBA and HSBC signing marquees, animal farm, crazy slide and side-show rides. You could even get your photo taken on Sam Mitchell’s body in the HSBC green screen maquee!

Campbell Brown and Brendan Whitecross cooled off in the dunking machine, meanwhile Hawka was out and about mixing it up with the crowds and signing autographs.

Hawks fans also had the opportunity to have their picture taken with the 2008 Premiership Cup and various players of the team throughout the day.

There was fun and entertainment on-stage with MC Ben Dixon and performances from Ben 10, the Caribbean Kings, Animal Tracks and magician - Magic Ben.

A big crowd drew around the stage to hear Club President Jeff Kennett speak about the season ahead as we approach the home and away season.

Four young Hawks fans who entered an on-line competition presented the squad with their official 2009 guernsey in front of thousands, with captain Sam Mitchell and coach Alastair Clarkson looking on closely and speaking after the presentation.
