All the trades

2:21 PM Mon 17 October, 2011

UPDATE, 2.00 pm: Trade Week is now concluded.

UPDATE, 1.59 pm: The final pick in the 2011 version of trade week was a rather minor exchange between Richmond and Gold Coast.

The Tigers gave up an end of round one compensation pick (it was given to Adelaide as compensation for losing Nathan Bock to Gold Coast and then on-traded to Richmond for Richard Tambling).

In return, Richmond received a round two compensation pick (it was given to Port Adelaide as compo for losing Nathan Krakouer and then traded back to the Suns) and pick 26 in this year's NAB AFL Draft.

Both of the compensation pick can be used in any of the three drafts from 2012 to 2014.

Lisle on Lions' radar

By Jason Phelan 1:59 PM Sat 15 October, 2011

THE BRISBANE Lions have shown interest in dealing for Hawthorn key position prospect Jordan Lisle, according to his manager Liam Pickering.

AFL.com.au's Trade Week Radio reported on Saturday that Pickering had confirmed the approach, but he did not shed any light on the likelihood of a deal being done before Monday's 2pm deadline.

Lisle, 21, was recruited from the Oakleigh Chargers with the 50th overall pick at the 2008 NAB AFL Draft.

The versatile big man broke through for his AFL debut against Fremantle in round 11 earlier this year and played five games for the season.

Power excited by ruck combination

By Michael Whiting 4:02 PM Fri 14 October, 2011

PORT Adelaide expects new ruck signing Brent Renouf to be a perfect foil for emerging big man Matthew Lobbe next season.

Power football operations manager Peter Rohde said opting for the Hawks' premiership player was a tough call after also considering Sydney Swan Mark Seaby.

Rohde also confirmed Port Adelaide was "very close" to getting a deal done that would see Brad Ebert join the Power from West Coast.

But it was Renouf he was most happy with, the Power securing him in exchange for pick no.33 in this year's NAB AFL National Draft.

Renouf heads to Port

By Mark Macgugan 2:59 PM Fri 14 October, 2011

PORT Adelaide has secured 2008 premiership ruckman Brent Renouf from Hawthorn, in exchange for pick 33 in this year's NAB AFL Draft.

Renouf played 52 games for the Hawks after debuting in 2008, but managed only seven senior games in 2011 after surgery to remove his gall bladder.

His best performance this season was against the Power at AAMI Stadium in round seven, when he booted three goals.

In announcing the trade, Port Adelaide football operations manager Peter Rohde described the 23-year-old as an "elite runner".

"Brent fits exactly into the age profile that we are building our next premiership team around," Rohde said.

Sierakowski becomes a Roo

By Mark Macgugan 11:44 AM Fri 14 October, 2011

UNCAPPED Hawthorn rookie Will Sierakowski has been traded to North Melbourne.

In return, the Hawks will receive pick 58 in this year's NAB AFL Draft.

The 21 year-old will go onto the Kangaroos' senior list.

North Melbourne list manager Cameron Joyce said the club had been tracking Sierakowski in the VFL throughout 2011 and were excited to secure him.

"He runs well out of defence and through the middle of the ground and his skill level, especially by foot, is terrific," Joyce told kangaroos.com.au.

"He's also strong overhead.

"We are confident Will has the ability to play senior football in 2012 if an opportunity presents and his sharp improvement continues."

Gillies open to Hawks move

By Adam McNicol 12:03 PM Thu 13 October, 2011

GEELONG defender Tom Gillies has asked to be traded to Hawthorn.

Recruited by the Cats in the 2008 NAB AFL Draft, the 21-year-old has spent much of the past three seasons in the VFL.

He played only two senior games for Geelong during the 2011 season (for a career total of eight), although he was a solid contributor in both.

Gillies' manager, Tim Hazell, says his client did not actively seek to attract interest from other clubs.

But Gillies has been impressed by the Hawks' pledge to give him more opportunities at the elite level.

"For Tom, this has come from left field," Hazell told AFL.com.au's Trade Week Radio on Thursday morning.

Gunston, Hawks confident

By Adam McNicol and Mark Macgugan 3:19 PM Wed 12 October, 2011

HAWTHORN and its 19-year-old recruit Jack Gunston are both confident the former Crow will become a regular member of the club's senior team in 2012.

The Hawks secured Gunston from Adelaide on day three of trade week after exchanging a number of draft picks with the Crows.

"We went into trade week with that as a priority for us, so it's good to get it done," Hawthorn football manager Mark Evans told afl.com.au Trade Week Radio.

"[National recruiting manager] Graham Wright has done a terrific job to do that."

Gunston made his debut in 2010 and played 12 games for the Crows this season, booting 19 goals.

Mitch Clark's trade hopes slide

By Jennifer Witham 1:04 PM Wed 12 October, 2011

MITCH Clark may struggle in his bid to be traded to a Perth club this week while John McCarthy looks increasingly unlikely to be at Collingwood next year, said their respective managers on Wednesday.

It also appears as though Hawthorn defender Rick Ladson could be on his way to Greater Western Sydney with the Giants expressing keen interest in the 27-year-old.

Clark's manager Colin Young said he was growing increasingly concerned a deal with Fremantle - Clark's preferred target - was not going to happen this week with the Brisbane Lions wanting more than the club could offer.

Crow joins Hawthorn

By Adam McNicol 12:48 PM Wed 12 October, 2011

EMERGING forward Jack Gunston has completed his move from Adelaide to Hawthorn.

In a complicated deal, the Crows sent the 19-year-old, who grew up in Melbourne, to the Hawks along with their third and fourth-round picks (53 and 71) in the upcoming NAB AFL Draft.

In return, the Hawks have given Adelaide their first, second and third-round selections (24, 46 and 64).

The deal means the Crows now have two first-round picks in November's draft. Their first selection is No. 10.

Gunston's move was held up on Tuesday evening, when the AFL scuttled a proposed five-club deal involving GWS, but the trade was then restructured on Wednesday morning.
