How it works

The AFL and Panasonic are giving you the opportunity to have your say on the weekly winners of the 2011 Panasonic Goal of the Year Award.

Each week the best three goals from the completed round will be selected by the AFL Panel and placed on the AFL Panasonic Goal of the Year website by 7pm on Monday or the day after the last game of the round (except for Public Holidays). Viewers can visit the website to vote for their favourite Panasonic Goal of the Week. Voting will close at 12pm the following Monday.

All voters who enter their details for the weekly prize during the Home and Away Season will go into the draw to win a tough new Lumix FT3 Camera. The advanced tough design of the new Lumix FT3 by Panasonic is 12m Waterproof, 2m Shockproof, -10c Frostproof and Dustproof and means you can take it anywhere. With outstanding image quality thanks to Leica lens, you can also record in Full HD for high quality movies. Additional features include In-built GPS for recording location and an easier playback search, plus Altimeter, Compass and Barometer for recording altitude, direction and barometric pressure.

In the event that voters select a goal differently to the AFL panel, that goal will also be included for consideration for the 2011 Panasonic AFL Goal of the Year Finals Round.

Win the Ultimate Panasonic Prize Pack – Finals Round

At the conclusion of the Home and Away Season, the All Australian Selection Committee shall select the 3 best goals from the 24 weekly selections chosen by the AFL panel and any public selections that differ from the AFL panel. The top three selections for the Panasonic Goal of the Year Finals Round will be announced on September 12th 2011, via afl.com.au.

All three nominations will then be placed on the AFL Panasonic Goal of the Year website by 7pm on Monday the 12th of September where viewers are encouraged to vote for their ultimate Panasonic Goal of the Year. Voting will open at Monday 12th September and close the following Monday, 19th September.

All votes entered into the 2011 Panasonic Goal of Year will go into the draw to win the ultimate Panasonic Prize Pack valued at $9,000 RRP.
