Dunn offered reprimand, other charges dropped

FIVE of the six reports laid from round 17 have been withdrawn, with Melbourne forward-turned-midfielder Lynden Dunn now the only player facing the match review panel.

Dunn has been charged with a level two striking offence against North Melbourne's Brent Harvey during the third quarter of Sunday's clash at the MCG.

The Melbourne run-with player can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record with an early plea, after his incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point).

This totals five activation points, resulting in a level one classification offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. Dunn has no existing good or bad record and an early plea reduces his penalty by 25 per cent.

The match review panel assessed the reports of Collingwood duo Leon Davis and Alan Didak, Essendon's Scott Lucas, Port Adelaide's Nick Lower and Dunn's other striking charge on Harvey, confirming no further action would be taken on any of them.

* Davis's forceful front-on contact against Essendon's Jobe Watson was caused by "circumstances outside" the Magpie's control.

* Didak's strike on Essendon's Henry Slattery was a "pushing motion" and not a strike.

* Lucas' strike on Collingwood's Harry O'Brien was "below that required to constitute a reportable offence".

* Lower "had no realistic alternative way to contest the ball" when he made forceful front-on contact on Fremantle's Brett Peake.

* Dunn's other strike on Harvey did not "constitute a reportable offence".
