Friday

“Melbourne’s Home of Footy”, 1116 SEN, kicks off its weekend coverage at 4pm Friday when former Melbourne star David Schwarz presents Footy Fix alongside Matt Granland and Dr. Turf. The boys will not only dissect the week’s big AFL issues but involve listeners keen to voice their opinion. While the show will feature serious, in-depth match previews it will also take a look at the lighter side of the game and its personalities.

From 6pm, join the biggest names in football – Anthony Hudson, Dermott Brereton, David King and Mark Robinson for the most comprehensive guide to the night’s feature match. If you want to hear from competing coaches, star players and the game’s decision makers you need to listen to 1116 SEN’s pre-game coverage.

Following the Friday night review, Mark Fine presents Finey’s Final Siren, a show dedicated solely to the talkback caller.

So, if you want to continue talking footy when the others have shut up shop, Finey’s Final Siren is for you right through until 1am.

Saturday

The AFL’s pre-eminent news breaker Craig Hutchison is joined by former Geelong star Liam Pickering for Off the Bench each Saturday morning between 9am and 11am. The show combines discussion on topical football issues with big name guests.

Crunch Time - Saturday 11am to 1pm

Voted most outstanding radio program by the Australian Football Media Association in 2007, 2010 and 2011, Crunch Time will again this season live up to its promise – “only the big names, only the big issues.”

The must-listen-to program will feature gun football commentator Anthony Hudson, Hawthorn legend Dermott Brereton, premiership player and coach Robert Walls and hard-hitting Herald-Sun journalist Mark Robinson.

As has been the case for five years, if it needs to said - the Crunch Time team will not hold back!

From 1pm, AFL legend Kevin Bartlett, triple premiership player Cameron Mooney and Matt Granland preview the day’s big game prior to delivering the most accurate call in the business.
As soon as the early game finishes, SEN will take you to the day’s twilight fixture before handing over to the Saturday night team for the final match of the day.

Sunday

From 10am Mark Fine will be joined by former Adelaide coach Robert Shaw for Full on Footy, a show that will be first to set the football agenda on a Sunday.

Importantly, the show will be dedicated to on-field issues, the players, the tactics and the very reasons why teams win and lose. It will be “full-on footy” for the serious lover of the game.

Then at midday, Andrew Maher, Nathan Thompson, Robert Walls and Scott Lucas take to the microphone ahead of the 1.10pm game. On the menu will be a look at the factors that have shaped the completed games, interviews with the main players, spirited discussion on the big issues and of course an in-depth preview of the upcoming match.

From 4pm, Kevin Bartlett, Matt Granland, Terry Wallace and Daniel Harford will be on board to preview the day’s twilight fixture before delivering the best call of the action.

Then, to wind up the weekend’s footy, Mark Fine will again take to the microphone for Finey’s Final Siren between 8 and 10pm.

By calling at least six games per weekend and more than 150 games for the season, 1116 SEN truly is “Melbourne’s Home of Footy”.
