Domain Stadium is recognised as the home of Australian Football in Western Australia and hosts home AFL Premiership games for both Fremantle and West Coast Eagles.
The ground was built in 1908 and hosted its first match on May 9 of that year, when Subiaco played East Perth. Its attendance record is 52,781, which has stood since 1979, when East Fremantle and South Fremantle contested the WAFL Grand Final.
"Subi", as it is affectionately known, was redeveloped in March 2000 to incorporate a fully seated stadium with a capacity of 43,082. It celebrated its centenary in Australian Football's 150th year, 2008.
West Leederville train station is adjacent to Domain Stadium (on the Subiaco Road side of the ground) while Subiaco train station is still within walking distance of the venue. Visit Transperth for more information.
Services to Domain Stadium are regular. Details of these can be found at the from Transperth website.
Easy to locate, its surrounding roads are Roberts Road, Subiaco Road and Haydn Bunton Drive. If you're travelling from the eastern suburbs of Perth, use the Graham Farmer Freeway. The stadium's proximity to the city also makes it easily accessible from a number of freeway exits from the north and south.
