THE AFL wishes to congratulate Sydney Swans Executive General Manager of AFLW and AFLW competition committee member Kate Mahony on her appointment as Performance Director at Chelsea F.C Women.
AFL Executive General Manager of AFLW, Health and Football Operations Laura Kane said:

"Kate was instrumental in establishing the Sydney Swans AFLW program and has overseen significant growth since the club entered the competition in 2022.
"As a valued member of the AFLW competition committee, Kate has also played an important role in helping shape the continued evolution of the competition.
"Her appointment to a role at one of the world's leading sporting organisations reflects the calibre of people we have across AFLW, and we’re fortunate to have world-class leaders like Kate involved in our clubs and competition.
"While Kate will be missed across our industry, we wish her every success at Chelsea F.C Women and look forward to seeing her continue to make an impact on the global stage."
