  Player   Position Biography

Scott Pendlebury
COLLINGWOOD
Midfielder

Cool, calm and composed. His silky skills and ability to create his own space means he's able to find time anywhere, even on the smaller confines of an AFLX ground.

Alex Rance
RICHMOND
Defender

As the game's most prolific interceptor, Rance will get plenty of chances in AFLX. He is a contested-marking threat and reliable rebounder who can play on a key forward when required.

Jeremy Cameron*
GWS GIANTS
Forward

At his best, the athletic forward is a match-winner. He possesses pace, a booming left-foot and aggression by the bucket-load and he will provide a menacing presence in the confines of the AFLX field.

Isaac Heeney
SYDNEY SWANS
Forward

Powerful at ground level and brilliant in the air, Heeney is close to the ideal modern footballer and just about perfect for AFLX. His influence at stoppages has grown but he looms as an ideal forward in this format.

Stephen Coniglio
GWS GIANTS
Midfielder

Stamped himself as one of the game’s best two-way midfielders last season. He wins his own ball at the stoppages but he can also put the brakes on his midfield opponents with a strong tackle.

Rory Laird
ADELAIDE CROWS
Defender

The dashing half-back flanker enjoyed a brilliant 2018, finding heaps of the pill. He was eighth in the AFL for disposals with 644 (at an average of 32.2), so expect him to be prominent on the AFLX field.

Travis Boak
PORT ADELAIDE
Midfielder

Boak has become a near-permanent half-forward in recent times but still does his best work when he's on the ball. His eye for goal and excellent ball use will be assets in the shorter form of the game.

Lachie Hunter
WESTERN BULLDOGS
Midfielder

Reliable and durable, the outside midfielder was rewarded for an outstanding 2018 campaign with his first best and fairest. The father-son recruit ranked sixth in the competition for uncontested possessions and the open spaces of AFLX should see him rack up the football.

Aliir Aliir
SYDNEY SWANS
Defender

Aliir's athleticism and intercept marking made him a valuable member of the Swans’ backline in 2018. His rebound from half-back makes him well-suited for AFLX.

Michael Hurley
ESSENDON
Defender

Hurley is capable of using his penetrating long kicking and expertise in the air to provide rebound out of the back half, but can also shut down the best key forwards in the competition.

Josh Kennedy
SYDNEY SWANS
Midfielder

The Swans skipper is one of the game's best inside midfielders and will get the ball going his side's way. He's also spent enough time up forward to know his way around the goals and his big frame will be hard to move if he's resting deep in attack.

Jack Higgins
RICHMOND
Forward

The dynamic small forward brings pressure, forward-line tackles and an ability to find the goals in tight spaces – all likely to be valuable commodities in AFLX. The exuberant youngster is one who will revel in the relaxed format.

Callan Ward
GWS GIANTS
Midfielder

The Giants Co-Captain will replace fellow team-mate Jeremy Cameron.
