Is there Accessible Parking around the Footy Festival?

Yes - If you are interested in attending the Footy Festival, there is access to a number of accessible parking spots in the streets surrounding Yarra Park

Is the Grand Final Eve Concert and Parade Presentation accessibility friendly?

Yes - Please report to Information Hub adjacent to the main stage for access.

Can I access the front of the main stage?

Yes – The front of the main stage is floored appropriately and allows for easy movement. Here you can lounge with the City of Melbourne’s Chill Out Zone and enjoy main stage presentations.

Accessible Washrooms?

There are accessible washrooms located throughout the Footy Festival. These washrooms can be directly access via paved roads.

Can I access the Taste of Football Food Precinct?

Yes – All food vendors have an accessible service plan. Please report to the Information Hub if you seek further assistance.

Is the site fully accessible?

As this is a public park with both hard and grass surfaces, ground conditions are subject to weather. Please keep this in mind when planning your trip to the Footy Festival.

What's On

Day 1 - Wednesday Sep 25th

Open from 10am until 6pm, experience the best of what Melbourne has to offer. Located in Yarra Park outside Gate 3 of the MCG, the FREE event will feature giveaways, LOTS of fun things to do, music and street performances and some of Melbourne’s most iconic food trucks.

Also, have a run around in the MILO Kids Zone and race your friends through the giant inflatable obstacle course. Amongst a number of AFL player appearances around the site, have your chance to grab a photo with the 2019 AFL Premiership Cup alongside Premiership Cup Ambassador Steve Johnson from 2:30pm – 3:30pm. There will also be AFL and AFLW player signing sessions from 11:00am and 2:00pm on the main stage.

Day 2 - Thursday Sep 26th

The second day of the 2019 AFL Footy Festival will be back again bigger than ever! Open from 10am until 6pm, the AFL Live Site again will deliver a whole lot of fun for kids of all ages! Make sure you grab yourself a bite to eat from the likes of Biggie Smalls and the Bearded Jaffle, visit the player signing sessions from 11:00am and 2:00pm and experience everything the AFL has to offer.

Chill out on the lawns outside the main stage and listen to sounds of the game or try your luck at a number of fan experience activations around the site.

Day 3 - Friday Sep 27th

Open from 9:00am, all things are a go within 2019 AFL Footy Festival. Get down early to secure your position outside the main stage as the 2019 AFL Grand Final Parade is set to culminate at Yarra Park.

See this year’s 2019 AFL Grand Final teams up close and personal before their big game and be sure to stick around after to witness this year’s AFL GF Eve Concert.

Day 4 - Saturday Sep 28th

The big day sees the site open from 9am. With large crowds expected, get down to the 2019 AFL live Site to be a part of the AFL’s big day. With the atmosphere at an all-time high, what better place to be than at Yarra Park cheering home your club!

Grab a bite to eat, sit back with your family or friends and watch the 2019 Toyota AFL Grand Final LIVE on the big screens. There is also plenty to do for the kids with MILO Kids Zone and AFL Live Site offering loads of fun activities to keep them entertained.
