GREATER Western Sydney hosts Brisbane at its home away from home in Canberra when the teams meet on Anzac Day night, with Brent Daniels the sub for the home side.

The Giants (5-1) might have been below full strength against Carlton last round, but they still failed their first test in a challenging stretch of matches as its undefeated start to the season came to an end.

Another tricky clash awaits against Brisbane at Manuka Oval, with the Lions looking to get back on the winners' list after a 2-4 start to the season.

GIANTS v LIONS Follow it LIVE

It might be a touch early to declare that Brisbane's season is on the line, but its hopes of a critical top-four finish are fading more with every loss.

The Lions are perhaps paying the price for spending five years at the pointy end, but will hope to stretch their winning streak against the Giants to six matches to get their campaign back on track.

Darcy Jones will make his AFL debut for the Giants, replacing suspended captain Toby Greene, while Daniels has been named the sub after nursing a sore knee during the week.

The Lions have recalled Darcy Fort to replace Oscar McInerney (concussion), while Conor McKenna returns from a hamstring injury and Jarryd Lyons has been dropped.
