The rebel VFL teams for Round 4.
Collingwood will unveil a famous name and a premiership player when it becomes the fourth club to play 100 rebel VFLW matches on its trip to Genis Steel Oval to meet Darebin on Saturday.
The Magpies will join the Falcons (124), Geelong (109) and Box Hill Hawks (107) in triple figures, and they will do it with Ainslie product Sophia de Castella lining up for her first game for the club.
De Castella is a 164cm Giants Academy graduate and the daughter of Australian marathon great Rob de Castella who made her VFLW debut in a sole appearance for the Giants last year before heading south to Victoria this season.
Bella Clarke, who played in Essendon’s 2022 Grand Final victory and Collingwood’s 2023 loss to Port Melbourne before joining the Borough, is also back in the Magpies’ team after missing last week. Meanwhile, Erin McKinnon will play her first game of the season.
Darebin has not beaten the Magpies in eight previous attempts and swung the axe after three-straight defeats, making four unforced changes. The Falcons have recalled Eleanor Cornish, Paije Kearney, Amy Duguid and Liv McLennan.
Western Bulldogs have switched around their AFLW talent for their clash with Casey Demons at Mission Whitten Oval on Saturday.
The Bulldogs have rested Ellie Gavalas, Analea McKee, Sarah Hartwig, Heidi Woodley and Kaylee Kimber and lost Jasmyn Smith to concussion.
But they have replaced them with star ruck Keeley Hardingham, Naomi Ferres, Dom Carruthers, Jess Fitzgerald and No.25 draft pick Sarah Poustie, who played a VFLW game for Collingwood last year.
Best and fairest winner Shree Fairchild and former AFLW Demon Delany Madigan come into Casey’s team, with veteran Ally Kirkwood to miss a week after a knock to her larynx, while Olivia Morris has a back injury.
Best-and-fairest winner Winnie Laing will bolster Sandringham’s line-up for its trip to Deakin University to meet Geelong on Saturday.
Winger Laing wasn’t on the Zebras’ list at the start of the season but will be a welcome inclusion for the undefeated team, which also called on Chloe Bailey and Maiya Stobie to replace Jordan Membrey and rested Saints Ella Friend and Kiera Whiley.
Captain Mel Staunton returns alongside Kelsie Gray for the Cats.
Carlton will be without star recruit Nadia von Bertouch with achilles soreness for a couple of weeks, including Saturday’s game against Essendon at Windy Hill.
AFLW draftee Lou-Lou Field is also being rested by the Blues, who have Hannah Bowey returning alongside Sophie Damon.
The Bombers have a debutant in Tasmanian teenager Meg Harrison, who replaces the injured Emily Tassiopoulos.
Williamstown has two debutants among four changes to meet arch-rival Port Melbourne at DSV Stadium on Sunday, but recruit Izzy Khoury is out for a month after hurting her foot.
Doutta Stars youngster Camryn Bux and former GWV Rebel Melina Ciavarella will both play for the Seagulls for the first time, with Zoe Day and Bella Gray returning among four changes.
The Borough is unchanged from the team that beat Darebin last week.
North Melbourne-Werribee has named Lysterfield teen Kelsie Ternes to make her VFLW debut against Box Hill Hawks at Arden Street Oval, with the Hawks bringing in Emma Stilve and Eleanor Butler for a clash that could be a preview of a late final.
