GEELONG has axed ruckman Rhys Stanley for its crucial qualifying final against Collingwood, with midfielder Sam Menegola named to replace him on Friday night.

Menegola was one of two Cats emergencies held out of a VFL scratch match earlier in the day, with the club later confirming he would replace the late withdrawal Stanley.
