This week’s major selection news comes from Casey Fields, with nine Melbourne AFLW-listed players brought into the Casey Demons’ line-up for their clash with the second-placed Box Hill Hawks.

Molly O’Hehir, the No.3 pick in the 2024 Telstra AFLW Draft, will play her first game since being selected by the Demons. Meanwhile, premiership star Lauren Pearce will play her first VFLW game for Casey after previously winning the competition’s best and fairest award, the Lambert-Pearce Medal, while representing Darebin in 2019.

The Hawks regain former AFLW midfielder Rosie Dillon among four changes, while also naming two debutants in what will be Bec Neaves' 100th VFLW match. Neaves joined the Hawks this year following 49 games with the Southern Saints between 2019-23, which included the club's 2022 Grand Final defeat to Essendon. She also played 14 games for the Bombers in 2018 and 31 with St Kilda in the competition's first two seasons.

North Melbourne-Werribee will be without Alana Barba when it hosts Darebin Falcons at Arden Street Oval. The two-time premiership star will miss the match with concussion.

Shannon Egan returns for Darebin in a game that will serve as a dual celebration for the Falcons, with former skipper and two-time VFLW premiership player Steph Simpson and fellow club stalwart Alyssa Mifsud to each play their 100^th VFLW match.

Essendon has suffered a blow for its trip to DSV Stadium to take on third-placed Williamstown, with star play maker Abbey McDonald sidelined with concussion. Goal kicker Oliva Manfre has been named for her first game of the season.

Port Melbourne and Collingwood have each made two changes for their crunch game at ETU Stadium. Young forward Amelie Gladman goes out of the Magpies side after being added to Essendon’s AFLW squad as in injury replacement earlier in the week.

Elsewhere, AFLW duo Kristi-Lee Weston-Turner and Naomi Ferres have both been managed by the Western Bulldogs for the clash with Sandringham at Mission Whitten Oval.
