GOLD Coast's season has taken another hit with star forward Tom Lynch to miss the final three matches of the year.

Lynch suffered an injury to the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against Fremantle on Saturday night and has been ruled out for remainder of the season.

The 2016 All Australian has played sore for much of the year, and despite being below his best, has kicked 44 goals.

Lynch was at Gold Coast headquarters on Tuesday morning with the rest of the playing group to be told of the sacking of coach Rodney Eade.

His right knee was heavily strapped.

The Suns have a lengthy injury list ahead of Saturday's QClash against the Brisbane Lions, with the likes of David Swallow, Jarrod Witts, Jarryd Lyons and Callum Ah Chee all facing fitness tests.
