GEELONG forward Tyson Stengle will take time away from the club and pre-season training, with the club's full blessing.
Stengle is expected to return to the Cats in the "short term", but no timeline has been set.
"Tyson’s welfare is our priority and, with the support of the club, he’ll be given the time he needs before returning to training," Cats' footy boss Andrew Mackie said in a statement released on Monday night.
Stengle played in the Cats' losing Grand Final in September.
