THE AFL wishes to congratulate Geelong Cats' Mark Blicavs ahead of his 300th AFL game on Friday.
A member of the 2022 Geelong Cats’ premiership side, Blicavs is set to become the 111th player in VFL/AFL history to reach 300 games and now the eighth Cats player to do so, behind Tom Hawkins, Joel Selwood, Corey Enright, Ian Nankervis, Jimmy Bartel, Mitch Duncan and John Newman.
Blicavs, who made his debut in Round 1, 2013 after being selected with pick No. 54 in the 2012 AFL Draft, is just the second player drafted as a rookie to reach 300 career games, alongside Luke Breust.
The AFL's Historian has compiled a list of key numbers and achievements across Blicavs career:

- 2023 (19) is also the only season he has played fewer than 20 games in a season.
- His entire career has been played under Chris Scott. Just the second coach/player pairing to feature in 300 games - Jock McHale/Gordon Coventry (306) the other
- At 13 years and 16 days, he will be the second quickest of the 111 players to 300 games. Adam Goodes achieved the feat in 12 years and 172 days. The current second fastest is Mark Ricciuto, 13 years and 82 days
