The Bulldogs had won their past 17 matches heading into the encounter and started the game in typical fashion to hold a 12-point quarter time advantage before the Swans ripped the game open with a mesmerising 10-goal second quarter. The home side did reduce a 44-point half time deficit to 29 points by three quarter time to give themselves a glimmer of hope, but the Swans romped to their third-straight win with a blistering eight-goal final term.
