COLLINGWOOD has celebrated Scott Pendlebury's record-breaking 433rd game with a hard-fought 10-point win over Waalitj Marawar.

As Pendlebury broke the record for the most games played in VFL/AFL history, the Magpies marked the milestone with a 13.14 (92) to 12.10 (82) victory at the MCG.

But they had to survive a scare for their fifth win of the season as the Eagles challenged them, getting within three points in the final quarter.

As Pendlebury finished with 20 disposals, Nick Daicos (34 disposals and three goals) led the way in the win.

Bailey Williams (20 disposals and a goal) battled hard for the Eagles in the ruck, while Elliot Yeo kicked three goals.

Darcy Moore hurt his hamstring in a blow for the Pies, while forward Jamie Elliott suffered a suspected knee injury late in the game.
