RICHMOND fan-favourite Sarah Hosking is set to miss the start of the season with a hamstring injury suffered at training.
With a long history of hamstring concerns on her right leg, including surgery to re-attach the muscle to the bone in October 2024, she was left contemplating her future on the park
This injury, however, is on her 'good' left leg, and the club is optimistic that Hosking will be available in the early rounds of the season.
Scans revealed it as a level two tear, but the utility is already back running.
Hosking returned in round four last year and played six games for the season, taking her career tally to 77 across two clubs
She joins Montana McKinnon (ACL), Zoe Hargreaves (ACL), Dana East (ankle), Paige Scott (foot), and Ellie McKenzie (arm) on Richmond's injury list heading into the club's round one clash with Collingwood on Saturday.
