RICHMOND midfielder Sierra Grieves has earned the first Telstra AFLW Rising Star nomination of the season after a strong display against Collingwood on Saturday night.

Grieves racked up 22 disposals - including 14 contested - four clearances, six score involvements and 224m gained from 81 per cent game time.

After a two-win campaign last year, the Tigers opened a new era under coach Jarrad Donders with an 18-point win over the Magpies at Ikon Park.

Selected by Richmond with pick No.11 in the 2024 Telstra AFLW Draft, Grieves played nine games in an eye-catching debut season as an inside midfielder and half forward.

The 20-year-old averaged 13 disposals, including 18 on debut in the Dreamtime clash and 21 against Melbourne, and was recognised as the Tigers' Best First Year Player.
