ST KILDA has dropped young gun Alix Tauru for its clash against Gold Coast, while three Suns guns will miss at Marvel Stadium.

Tauru has been omitted as one of two changes for the Saints, who will celebrate Brad Hill's 300th game on Thursday night.

Jack Higgins is out injured, with Liam Ryan and Dougal Howard coming into the side.

Howard will play his farewell game – his 100th for St Kilda – after announcing on Wednesday he would retire at season's end.

Tauru, the No.10 pick in the 2024 draft, has played nine AFL games this season after managing 10 in his debut campaign.

The Suns will be without three of their best players with Christian Petracca (foot), Wil Powell (shoulder) and Sam Collins (ribs) missing.

Nick Holman is into the side for his final AFL game, having also announced his retirement this week, while Jarrod Witts and Ben Jepson have earned recalls.

The Saints are 10-12 and their finals chances are over, while the Suns are 8-14 and cannot finish higher than 13th.
