TOUK Miller has signed with Gold Coast until the end of 2030, saying he still believes he can be part of the club's first premiership.

Miller was already contracted for next season, but much like teammate Bailey Humphrey last week, jumped earlier than needed to extend his stay at the Suns.

The 30-year-old has played 237 games in 12 seasons at Carrara, including three years as co-captain and the past nine as either the skipper or vice-captain.

Miller told AFL.com.au despite Gold Coast's poor season, that included 10 straight losses at one point, he'd seen a "united" club that could not only bounce-back in 2027, but one that had the resolve to chase a premiership in his time.

"What I started to see, especially in the back half of the year when we weren't getting the wins, I just felt what we had as a group was going to be special," he said.

"That younger generation of players show a lot of signs of the type of people I think I can really help and pull this club in the right direction.

"The other one is I still want to be here as part of the first premiership and I want to have that feeling and I still think this group is going to be the one to do it.

"It looks like we’re losing games and there must be a disconnect and people aren’t doing the right thing, but I believe we’re getting tighter as a football club.

"In life, if you have some adversity, it makes you stronger and it can bring the best out of a lot of people, from the coach down.

"I see it through a different lens to the rest of the footy world, and I have full belief in the group."

After playing in their maiden finals campaign in 2025, the Suns fell well short of expectations this season, winning just nine games to finish in 13th position.

Full-forward Ben King has told the club he will be explore his options as a restricted free agent.

Next year, Damien Hardwick's fourth as coach, will also see captain Noah Anderson and Brownlow medallist Matt Rowell become free agents.

"We've got a lot of things going on at the club in terms of keeping people around, and I think it was really important I show a sign of faith in the club, so I can put it on other boys in the club that this is the place to be," Miller said

"I've got all my chips in and we’re going to do this together.

"We had a lot of expectation on us this year and didn’t live up to that.

"After having the year we had I think we’re only going to be better for that.

"We're going to have eyes on us with even more expectation … and I think we armed ourselves with some pretty strong tools to make sure we can produce something better than we did this year."

The two-time club champion is poised to pass David Swallow (249) as the games record holder next year, before pushing on towards becoming the first Suns player to top 300.
