RICHMOND star Monique Conti has moved top of the AFL Coaches Association's AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award leaderboard after another standout display.

Conti led the Tigers past Essendon in the Dreamtime clash in Darwin on Sunday night, collecting 10 votes from the coaches.

The midfielder had 29 disposals, 10 clearances, six tackles and kicked a goal in the Tigers' win.

Conti moved onto 28 votes to be one clear of North Melbourne star Ash Riddell (27), while Ally Morphett, Liv Purcell and Lucy Wales are on 25 votes.

Riddell polled nine votes in the Kangaroos' win over the Western Bulldogs, as did Jasmine Garner.

Morphett (five votes), Purcell (five) and Wales (nine) all also polled in round three.

There were five 10s in round three, with Montana Ham, Tahlia Gillard, Georgie Prespakis and Erone Fitzpatrick joining Conti with perfect games.

Every week, the two senior coaches for each game give votes on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, meaning 10 votes is the maximum a player can get in each round.

The player with the most votes at the end of the home and away season will win the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award.
