The teams for the 2026 VFLW Grand Final.
North Melbourne Werribee has made one change as it chases a third-successive premiership, with Abby Favell set to miss the Grand Final due to AFLW commitments.
Meanwhile, Williamstown has received a welcome boost in its hunt for a first VFLW premiership, with skipper Eliza Straford returning after missing the preliminary final win over Port Melbourne with a foot injury.
Star midfielder Favell will be replaced by Zara Flanigan, who has been called up for her fourth game of the season and first since Round 4.
The Kangaroos line-up features nine members of the 2025 premiership team in Alana Barba, Nyakoat Dojiok, Zara Flanigan, Sarah Ingram, Tahlia Meier, Stella Reid, Charlotte Ryan, Zoe Savarirayan, Renee Tierney.
Five players from that group – Barba, Dojiok, Flanigan, Meier and Tierney – also featured in the 2024 success and will be looking to feature in a third-successive premiership team.
Meanwhile, Elisabeth Jackson will also feature from the 2024 premiership team having missed last year’s premiership win.
North Melbourne Werribee has named three AFLW-listed players for the Grand Final, with Shauna McElligott, Maddison Torpey and Sarah Wall all selected in the line-up.
Straford returns for Williamstown alongside ruck Krystal Russell, who will replace Lilly Pearce following an injury in last week’s victory over the Borough.
