North Melbourne Werribee created history as the first team to win three-consecutive VFLW premierships.

The Roos secured the three-peat with a 4.1 (25) t 1.6 (12) Grand Final victory over Williamstown at IKON Park on Sunday.

The premiership victory added to the Kangaroos' triumphs in 2025 and 2024, confirming their place as the greatest team in the VFLW competition's history.

Alana Barba reaffirmed her status as the VFLW's best big game player, winning a third Lisa Hardeman Medal as the best player on the ground in a Grand Final.

Now a four-time premiership player, Barba also won the award last year – when the Roos joined Darebin as the competition’s only defending premiers – and in Essendon's 2022 Grand Final victory.

Barba collected 29 disposals, laid eight tackles and kicked a goal to steer her side to victory.

She had great support from Coaches MVP Ava Seton (21 disposals, 13 tackles), Maddison Torpey (12 disposals, 27 hitouts, one goal) and Stella Reid (18 disposals, one goal).

Bella Smith gave her all for Williamstown with 19 disposals and 11 tackles, while Lambert-Pearce Medal winner Emily Eaves was the Seagulls leading possession-winner with 20 touches and kicked her team's sole goal.

In extremely windy conditions the game was an arm-wrestle all day.

After kicking the winning goal in last year's Grand Final win, Stella Reid opened the scoring this time around when she nailed a goal from 35m out in the 15th minute.

Barba added the second goal of the day late in the second term when she bounced through an incredible effort from range.

Goalless at the half, Williamstown came out firing in the third and cut the deficit to four points when Eaves burst through a stoppage to nail a goal from close range.

However, the Kangaroos were able to withstand the charge and stretched their lead late in the term when Torpey nailed a set shot following a 50m penalty.

The victory was close to sealed early in the last when skipper Renee Tierney took a strong contested mark and converted from close range.

Williamstown peppered the big sticks in the final ten minutes but were unable to find a goal that would have lit the spark for a late comeback.

Final score: Williamstown 1.6 (12) def by North Melbourne Werribee 4.1 (25)
