CHARLIE Rowbottom has rocketed into equal second place in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award after receiving a perfect 10 votes for her performance during Sunday's Gold Coast win over Essendon.

It's Rowbottom's second maximum votes in a row, with the Suns midfielder sitting on a total of 42 votes alongside Hawthorn ruck Lucy Wales.

North Melbourne powerhouse Jas Garner remains at the top of the table with 45 votes after receiving nine votes for her role in the Kangaroos' shock loss to Hawthorn on Friday.

Rowbottom is one of three players to receive the maximum votes across round six.

Every week, the two senior coaches for each game give votes on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis, meaning 10 votes is the maximum a player can get in each round.

The player with the most votes at the end of the home and away season will win the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award.
