AFLW injury list, R7: Huge boost for Cats, timeline given for gun Tiger

GEELONG star Amy McDonald is available to play against Hawthorn on Thursday night after overcoming a hamstring injury, while the Hawks could also receive a big boost at selection. 

Small forward Greta Bodey and young midfielder Laura Stone are tests to return having missed last week's thrilling win over North Melbourne. 

Speaking of the Roos, winger Taylah Gatt is available after overcoming a groin injury, while three other household names are also in the mix for the top-of-the-table clash against Melbourne including Emma Kearney (managed), Kate Shierlaw (concussion) and Libby Birch (knee). 

Injuries are mounting for the Dees who will be sweating on the availability of Georgia Gall, Georgia Campbell and Saraid Taylor. 

Elsewhere, Essendon star Maddi Gay is a chance to return from a shoulder injury, while Charlotte Mullins is on track to return from concussion for Brisbane's clash against the Swans.

The news isn't as good for Carlton dynamo Lila Keck who will miss this week's match against the Tigers, who have finally given a return to play timeline for gun midfielder Monique Conti, who will miss the next 2-4 weeks with that Achilles issue. 

Western Bulldogs ruck Alice Edmonds is set for a short stint on the sidelines with a back complaint, while it's mixed news for the underfire Saints. 

Midfielder Olivia Vesely will be out for a long period of time after having ankle surgery, but Nicola Xenos is a test to return having been moved back onto the active list after overcoming an ACL injury.
