TIM TARANTO has added to his growing legacy at Richmond, claiming a third Jack Dyer Medal in just four seasons at Punt Road.

Taranto, who also won the Tigers' highest individual honour in 2023 and 2025, now has four club best and fairests across his career, having claimed Greater Western Sydney's Kevin Sheedy Medal in its Grand Final season of 2019.

The star midfielder joins an elite group of three-time Richmond winners, alongside Trent Cotchin, Ron Branton, Neville Crowe, Bill Morris and Geoff Raines.

Only Wayne Campbell and Roy Wright, with four apiece, and Kevin Bartlett and Jack Dyer, with five each, have won more Richmond VFL/AFL best and fairests.

Taranto finished on 55 votes to edge out Jack Ross, who capped a career-best campaign by polling 47 votes at Tuesday night's count at Crown Palladium.

The 28-year-old polled four votes in nine of his 21 matches and produced his best return in round 21, earning the maximum five votes after gathering 32 disposals and kicking a goal in a win over West Coast.

It continues a remarkable run since Taranto arrived at Punt Road, with a wrist injury in 2024 the only thing stopping him from sweeping all four Jack Dyer Medals during his time at the club.

Ross, who averaged 23.2 disposals, four tackles and 3.9 clearances from 19 games, was recognised with the Kevin Bartlett Medal as runner-up.

The 26-year-old led the count after round 16 and surged through the middle of the season, polling 24 of his 47 votes between rounds six and 11.

His standout performance came on Anzac Day Eve against Melbourne, when he received five votes after captaining Richmond for the first time in the absence of injured leaders Taranto and Toby Nankervis.

Ever-reliable defender Nick Vlastuin rounded out the top three, polling 32 votes to claim the Roy Wright Medal after overcoming an interrupted pre-season following ankle surgery.

Vlastuin, runner-up in each of the previous two counts, has now finished on the podium in three consecutive seasons and four times overall, having also placed fourth in 2023.

Seth Campbell and departing midfielder Dion Prestia tied for fourth on 31 votes, sharing the newly named Trent Cotchin Medal.

Patrick Retschko was also rewarded for an excellent debut season, winning the award as Richmond's best first-year player.

Retschko, who crossed from Geelong late in last year's Trade Period and debuted in round six, finished 10th overall in the B&F count.
